How to Help

SUPPORT OUR ADVENTURE

Many people ask us "how can I help?" Well, here's your answer...

Encourage Us

This journey will take both physical and mental stamina. It would be impossible to complete without the love and support of our friends and family. Remind us that we aren't (completely) crazy.

Meet Us Somewhere

Use our schedule to figure out when & where you can come visit us on a Zero Day!

Send Us Some Thing

Postcards, letters, notes, candy, brownies...anything* that might brighten our day along the way.

You can look up our next anticipated resupply point on our schedule. Because our schedule is TENTATIVE, please send items no fewer than 2 and no more than 3 weeks before our scheduled arrival date.

*Disclaimer: Due to the calculated nature of this journey, we have very specific weight constraints and dietary needs, and cannot guarantee that we will be able to take your gift with us. We encourage you to think of creative morale boosters which we can carry in our minds (and not on our backs) that will lift our spirits, make us laugh, and remind us that you're thinking of us. RULE OF THUMBIf its large, heavy, or we can't eat it, we won't take it with us.

Send Us Some Cash

Believe it or not, hiking the PCT is an expensive endeavor. Between purchasing initial equipment, food, miscellaneous transportation, replacement gear, and the occasional Zero-Day hotel room, an  average hiker spends roughly $6,000 to walk the entire trail. Since Chris and Nick are both quitting their jobs for this journey, and Ben is still a full-time student, we are raising money to help us offset some of our costs. We are hoping to raise $6,000 for the three of us ($2,000 each); you can donate at our INDIEGOGO CAMPAIGN.

If we raise more money than we need for the trip, we will re-donate it to SIDE BY SIDE, a non-profit organization in Seattle that assists families with seriously ill children. Ben has volunteered with this organization and knows that they are a fantastic cause!
